So a few years ago Rosie started calling herself Rosie and Michelle started calling herself Michelle, and we started talking to people on the Internet. We’re always together IRL, so we’re always together online too, which lead our friends to always refer to us as a single entity, Rosie & Michelle. One of our friends got tired of writing all that out, though, so she shortened it to R&M.

Okay, so anyone that talks to us will tell you that we have an annoying habit of speaking our minds, often to the point of INTERNET FIGHT OMG. (Even IRL.) So when some other people we knew got pissed off about some in fighting that we were waaaaaaaaaaaay on the sidelines of, they (very randomly, we think) decided to annouce that their opponents were fighting unfairly (how, we don’t remember) by acting like R&M. They actually coined a phrase that tickled the fuck out of us for years.

Anyway, we decided we wanted to get a space together that wasn’t necessarily fandom based, where we could place our RL shit online with the same non-anonymity we have by calling ourselves Rosie & Michelle. After several days of wondering wtf to call our domain, we remembered with great glee the phrase that was coined in an internet fight that (for once) we had nothing to do with:
